Derek O’Rourke brings a distinguished career in military, law enforcement, and counter-terrorism operations to his role as President of Slimburg Tactical Consulting Limited (STCL). His academic credentials include a Master's degree in Security Studies with a focus on Industrial and Economic Security, complementing his extensive experience in the field. Additionally he holds diplomas in Project Management from Smith School of Business and Emergency Medical Science (Paramedic) from University College Dublin.

Mr. O’Rourke has honed his expertise through extensive training and certifications. His qualifications include Explosive & Firearms Detection Dog Handler, Prehospital Trauma Life Support Paramedic, and numerous specialised counter terrorism courses from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) in the United States. His skills in non-violent crisis intervention, tactical use of force, and improvised explosive device (IED) mitigation are particularly notable.

Mr. O'Rourke's professional journey is marked by significant roles in security, counter terrorism and defence consulting. His career includes notable positions such as security project manager for major events like the Pan Am Games, the Europa league final, MLS cup finals and many other high profile large scale events. He has also been involved in initiatives in explosive detection with Transport Canada and written course content for MHC Alberta, demonstrating his strategic vision and leadership in high-stakes environments.

Syed Raza brings over two decades of distinguished experience within multinational corporations, excelling in strategic procurement strategies and procurement defence consulting. He has a proven track record in delivering innovative solutions, demonstrating leadership in international relations, and contributing to discussions on defense, international affairs, economics, and technology. As a seasoned strategic planner and project management professional, Syed has cultivated strong connections with key figures in the defense sectors of both the United States and Pakistan, enhancing his influence and ability to navigate complex geopolitical landscapes.

His expertise lies in identifying market trends, adapting to competitive environments, and developing procurement strategies that strengthen partnerships with international defense stakeholders. His contributions are pivotal in fostering strategic and operational relationships across Pakistan, United States, Canada, and the MENAP region, supporting the company’s expansion into new defense markets. Syed’s prior experience includes working with Warid Telecom (Abu Dhabi Group) where he was responsible for managing corporate relationships and delivering services to the Pakistan Armed Forces. His deep understanding of corporate and defense sector dynamics positions him as a key player in both industries.

In addition to his corporate career, Syed serves as CEO of SMP (Pvt.) Limited, a sports management company that collaborates with the Winter Sports Federation of Pakistan, under the management of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF), to promote national and international sports initiatives. Syed holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Punjab and has attended numerous international conferences and training programs. He is multilingual, fluent in English, Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi, and proficient in reading and understanding Arabic.
